Laser vs. Inkjet Printer

BEFORE GOING TO INVEST IN NEW PRINTER

In printers normally there are 3 types Laser, ink-jet and dot matrix.
Dot-matrix is old day printer very rarely used in banks and couriers billing offices.
So the two options left with you is Laser Jet Printer or Ink-Jet Printer.

Which printer offers you the best service?

The rapid and highly accurate laser printer or slow-moving but superior-at-colors inkjet?

A peek at the laser vs. inkjet comparability description will help you to decide.

First thing inkjet printers starting range is very less by cost as compared to laser printer.

In ink-jet printer you get both black/white and color printouts. But in laser printer you only get black/white prints.

For getting color print outs you need to buy color laser jet,but cost of color laser-jet is too much as compared to ink-jet printers.

Now-a-days printer is significantly required for any personal or business firm. Used for urgently printing documents to color photos, printer technologies have progressed to offer multiple purposes. Both Laser and Inkjet are preferred by the buyer and have widespread apps today. Both designed separately and have progressed to offer various specifications and useful functions.
When choosing which one is better then other, it gets very difficult.
There is no trick in choosing which is better. The only option is to know what your actual requirement is and decide on a printing solution that suits your demands.
Other thing that stops you of buying you a required printer is financial issue. You like some printer and the cost is much more then your budget.
But there are vast numbers of options to select from, so you never get stuck up.

Every printer manufacturing company is making its best possible product and providing best possible offer to attract the printer buying client.

Below i will mention the Pros and cons of both Laser and inkjet printer.

Dealing with repairs of all brands on printers in both laser and ink-jets for years, i personally got vast knowledge in its working and other issues.

Due to its low cost and benefit of getting both black-white and color printouts inkjet printer is very much preferred by the buyer.
In the same way due to its sharpness in printing and quick printing speed laser printers are also very much liked by the buyers.
As per my experience both technologies are outstanding options in particular requirement.
These days everybody needs fast and quick service, no body likes to wait and waste there time so when it comes to quality printing in huge quantities of prints, Laser is a very good deal. Now in the same way, folks are worried due to recession and earning daily income is getting very difficult. So to invest in a costly laser printer gets difficult. So buyer prefers going for ink-jet printer, because it solves there printing issue as well as its not that costly as compared to laser printer. But mostly inkjet is preferred by people who are mainly focused on photo printing. But the offices and company firms, where color prints and photo prints are hardly required they prefer Normal black and white Mono Laser printers.

The head-to-head comparison between laser and inkjet printers shown here: --------

First we will go through Ink-jet Printer details:

BENEFITS OF INK-JET PRINTER:
1) It has Good Photo print quality results.
2) Its affordable to every buyer.
3) It has possibility of printing both color and black-white prints.
4) Its compact and less heavy. (Not all models, but most are easy to carry).
5) Refilling cost is less for ink-jet cartridges.

PROBLEMS FACED ON INK-JET PRINTER:
1) The text printing quality is not very good on most of inkjet printers, when you compare the text print with laser prints.
2) The ink-jet print out gets smudges on low quality paper.
3) The ink cartridges get dried up, if not used for few days.
4) Some low cost ink-jet printers are very delicate. To maintain the cost, the companies use very low quality material parts. So it doesn’t last long.
5) It cannot be used at one stretch, when it comes to loads of printing volumes.
6) Ink-jet printers are very noisy while printing and it makes too much noise while starting alignment period.

Now let’s go with Laser Printer details:

BENEFITS OF USING LASER PRINTER:
1) It prints with great speed. Client gets attracted by its quick printing rate.
2) Its text printing is very sharp, there is no smudge noticed in laser prints as compared to ink-jet prints.
3) It saves on per page printing cost, when it comes to large printing volumes.
4) It saves time.
5) Laser printers are very quite and silent while printing.
6) Now a days compatible cartridges are available, so these saves lot for the buyer as compared to new laser cartridges.( Either buy genuine original cartridges ,and if you go for compatible cartridges then, its suggested to buy compatible cartridges from branded and reputable companies, few to be named are cartridge world, Printronics, etc).

PROBLEMS WITH LASER PRINTER:
1) Laser printers are quite expensive as compared to inkjet.
2) If you opt for color laser printer then cost is too much.
3) The color quality for low costly laser printers is very poor as compared to ink-jet printer.
4) On regular laser printer you only get benefit of black-white copies and no color copies can be printer, on ink -jet printer you get benefit of both.
5) Laser printers are very heavy.
6) Repairing cost is very high on laser printer failure.
7) It requires specific type of paper for printing. Suppose if you use sticker paper on normal laser printer then sticker paper will get stuck up in the roller and printer needs to be repaired, on inkjet printer there is so such problems.
8) The cost of new laser cartridges is very costly.
9) Refilling toner is good, but if its not refilled properly, then toner power leaks and these creates lots of problem in laser printers.
10) Laser printer depends on heat for printing. Inside the printer there is fuser assembly. On some printer models the fuser assembly warm up time is too much and these sometimes frustrates the user. Also if fuser assembly gets weak, it effects the print quality.

These are detailed description for both kinds of printer.

Both are good for printing.

Its upon you to choose the printer.

You can go with laser printer, if you have lots of printing job and mostly in black-white.

You can go with ink-jet printer if you need color prints and photos including black-white printing and all in low costs. But yes it will take time to print, that you will have to bear with.
