Yes this is agreed, but in real recycled cartridges are not bad cartridges. It will never damage printer in any way.
But always prefer buying re-cycled cartridges from branded makers. Some local cartridge refilling companies, use very low quality laser toner powder and used laser materials to recycle the cartridge and these creates problem, but in that also your printer don’t get harmed, the problem you get is with quality of print outs. Please use quality product, properly inspect the recycled cartridges condition, if it looks like laser toner power is leaking then don’t insert that cartridge in printer, the leaking powder can get collected on the laser lens and these can cause problem to the printer.
